Following up on the questions I had below, does anyone have any information on
this provisional settlement with Verizon from April, 2018, and if the new fiber
run\cabinet replacement has been completed in the center of town?
Anticipating that I will be engaging Verizon again soon this year with landline
issues, I'd like to have the most recent information on this if possible.
If Verizon is still working on running the fiber and installing the new cabinet
from April, 2018, then this might be the basis for our continued issues with
noise on our landline, along with other issues that have prevented it from
working properly during the last 4-6 months of 2018.
Thanks.

Subject: RE: [The-L] Phone Hearing this Wednesday is cancelled
After an increased number of landline issues for the last six months, and
currently having no working landline for the last week, is this effort with
Verizon still taking place? In other words, is the town of Warwick/Selectboard
still working directly with Verizon to improve landline service for the town?
Any update on the replacement of the cabinet in town and the new fiber run to
it? It has been eight months, is this completed?
We have not seen any improvement with our phone for the last six months, and
rely heavily on it to actually work.
Thanks.

WARNING: External E-mail. Use caution if opening Links and Attachments.
The Selectboard has reached a provisional settlement with Verizon in the matter
of local land service / voice calling. Consequently the hearing advertised for
this Wed 4/25 at Town Hall is cancelled.
Verizon agreed to completely replace the switch in the village center and to
run fiber to that new cabinet.
The board withdrew its complaint in a way that they can refile it later should
it becomes necessary. Don't stop taking note of service issues (write them
down) and feel free to phone me if you need a service issue expedited. This new
construction is going to take some months.
The Selectboard have not backed down, they are giving a promising negotiated
settlement a chance.
