Okay guys; My MD just mailed me a letter, (last wed) becasue they could not
reach me via phone/ it seemed that my phone was “out of service”… Last week I
called Kasey becasue two other people couldn’t reach me via phone. So I hope
the wired that come down here will be affected in a good way by this new switch.

The Selectboard has reached a provisional settlement with Verizon in the
matter of local land service / voice calling. Consequently the hearing
advertised for this Wed 4/25 at Town Hall is cancelled.
Verizon agreed to completely replace the switch in the village center and to
run fiber to that new cabinet.
The board withdrew its complaint in a way that they can refile it later
should it becomes necessary. Don’t stop taking note of service issues (write
them down) and feel free to phone me if you need a service issue expedited.
This new construction is going to take some months.
The Selectboard have not backed down, they are giving a promising negotiated
settlement a chance.
