All right. So. When French keyboard is on, arrows move through tracks,
and just after open the quantise dialogue. When doing a passkey through
before, they just move through tracks without opening the quantise
dialogue, and Jaws does not report Track names. In Jaws default mode
with French keyboard on, arrows move through tracks but do not open the
quantise dialogue Either.
I'm afraid this won't help you much.
Cheers a bit,

Yep, it's certainly a strange one, but hopefully JP can confirm if this happens--
even with the default scripts loaded. I have looked at this particular
script/function and there's nothing going on outside of default actions and
type keys. So, you would have thought for such a dialog to pop up, some kind of
specific click or key combo needs to be executed, which these scripts/functions
are not doing.
Best Steve.

Hi
I know there's behavioural differences between the UK and US keyboard, in that
the US keyboard doesn't have the Alt + Ctrl combo on the right side of the
spacebar. And, I've found that certain keystrokes won't respond to the combo
key. So I guess it's not unreasonable that other keyboards would work
differently.

Hi JP. Hmmm, well that seems very odd indeed. I would have thought an up or down arrow
key press is the same regardless of which keyboard layout you're using. You could try
loading the default scripts with jaws key plus spacebar and then the letter "Z"
and see if it still does it, just repeat that to get back to the Samplitude scripts.
Also, just try passing the up or down arrow key through when the French
keyboard is loaded. I will take a look at these keys/functions, just for
curiosity, but my current thinking is that this can't happen logically, but who
knows, there maybe something in the scripts that acts weird, but they're just
doing their default action in all cases that I can think of. I do know that it
can happen when some AHK scripts are loaded, so I might load 1 up and see if I
can nail down what causes this in such situations. Let me know if you can repro
this with the methods above.
Best Steve.

Hi Steve,
I believe scripts could have some kind of influence on this behaviour, Because
they are processing the Arrow keys. For example in my case, if I switch to
French keyboard, up/down arrows will always open the quantise dialogue from the
VIP. I don't know how to rationalise this, but it always happens, and only when
keyboard is set to French.
So there might be other cases like this don't you think?

Ok, just see how it goes, but you would be able to see it running in the system--
tray, and you can exit the script from there if you press the applications key
I think.
This is 1 reason I know of that would cause that issue, but I'm not going to
trouble shoot the AHK script. If there's something else that causes this, then
I would need steps to reproduce it.

Hi Steve,
I don’t believe so, but I am not sure. The only thing I have on my computer
that uses an AHK script is the solution that you built for KK standalone. I
don’t run it very often, but the next time it happens I will check to see if I
have it running. Now, I need to know how would I check to know whether it is
running? Would I look in the task manager?

Neville, do you use any AHK scripts? The only time this has ever happened to
me is when I had an AHK script running. I can't say for sure, but that dialog
is opened with a native keystroke, so I would be 99% sure it's not the scripts
at fault here.
Best Steve.

I have also had this problem. The only thing that makes it go away for me is to
close Samplitude and then reopen it. sometimes I have to uninstall the Scripps
and reinstall them.
thank god this doesn’t happen a lot but it usually happens at the most
inconvenient times.
I have not yet installed the latest build of the Scripps. Have a lot going on
right now, but will as soon as I get a breather. Did not think that this issue
would still persist in the latest build of the Scripps. Hopefully, on my end,
it will not be an issue anymore once the new scripts are installed.

Hi. So I set up a project, and every time I arrow up or down to select a track, a
Marker dialog comes up asking me to fill up the signature, I'm not sure if it's time or
key signature, marker name and so on. Even if I check the box that says "ignore
this marker" and click ok, the dialog still comes up when I select any track. Is
there a way to dismiss this dialog permanently? Cheers!
