hi Steve,
I think my next messages clears it up a bit. First, it's not that bad as
I found a workaround. The problematic thing is the sensitivity slider
that first works right, and then, after splitting to transience, causes
Jaws to become silence and therefore unable to reach other controls
using tab or shift tab.
the workaround is to go out of this dialogue after performing the split
to transience, and perform the hard quantise from the tempo menu.
Workaround number 2 is to press the one click button instead of the
split at transience button, maybe the easiest one as it will perform
both splitting and quantising. So, the bottom line is, you might not
have to take my message into account except for tweaking the Read me a
little bit.
I'll come up with what I would like to see in the README if it helps.
Cheers,
JPR

Hi JP.--
Firstly objects. I will take a look at this this weekend and see what's going
on. Do you know what size of object starts being troublesome? Regarding the
audio quantize dialog, could you please give me the specific things that need
addressing, as I don't use this at all, but need exact things to look at,
rather than spending a lot of time trying to figure out how it works, hope you
know what I mean?
So, just tell me, this control doesn't speak this, or I can't get to that
control. Then, I can trouble shoot much easier. Thanks.
Best Steve.

Subject: [vipaudioaccess] Audio quantise
hi Steve,
I remember we had a discussion about this before the current script version, I
asked you to Add some buttons and change some labels, which you kindly did.
Strangely enough, I Never had the Opportunity to test audio quantising before
tonight. So, I would like you to check if you can. I used a pair of tracks with
only one object Each to start with, An African callebash recorded with 2
microphones, but on 2 mono tracks; So I grouped both Objects and started using
the audio quantise wizard on them.
Splitting at transience seemed to work right, but After that, I noticed I
couldn't reached the created objects. Is it because of your new object
detection system, as Splitting by transience create very very small objects,
and it seems to put Jaws into some kind of trouble.
Then, back to the audio quantise wizard dialogue, I was unable to reach my
Goal, as tabbing through the buttons I reached the Transient sensitivity slider
that I had set to 60% before doing the split by transience, but at that point,
when I reached the slider again, Jaws became totally silent and I had to
restart Samplitude which I couldn't do except by killing it in the task manager.
If This issue is caused by the new object detection system, is it possible to
temporarily disable it in case of audio quantise? It doesn't happen that often
to get so many micro objects.
Do you have a solution?
Cheers,
JPR
