Hi Eleanor,
Wow, fair play to you.
I rang that number and discussed with Sky about getting the Talker device.
Would you believe it but Sky have been told by the RNIB on no account to
sell this device to anyone in the Republic of Ireland.
Reason given is that RNIB developed this device and only use Sky to
distribute it.
I was not looking for it free or anything, offered them my Visa, but no
good.
I have rung Breda Dowling for the NCBI to see if she can work anything with
RNIB, but that will have to wait till tomorrow.
Thanks again
Aedan.

Aeden
Here is a telephone number in the UK for Sky Accessability, it is a
dedicated telephone number.
0818719809

I spoke to the gentleman and maybe I am slightly wrong. He said they have
Sky Talker which can be purchased for £60 Sterling. This device is plugged
in to the back of your Sky+ and as you navagate the channels it tells you
what is currently showing and what will be coming on next. I asked about
the remote control and he said they did not do one with speech but he felt
sure that the RNIB did one. Again I am unsure about that but you could look

on their website or give them a call. I hope this info helps a little.

Eleanor
