Hi, A Clarification: The way I outlined to select the file, you don't have to type the path to the file. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Flor Lynch" <florlync@xxxxxx> To: <vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, June 07, 2009 12:50 PM Subject: [vip_students] Re: Attachments Hi Irene, Welcome. When typing in the file name, you have to type the full path to it. c:\my documents\<WhateverSubfolder> etc, if the photo is in a subfolder of My Documents. So, instead of typing all of that, press shift-tab to get to the list view of files, (or press shift +tab further if the file is in a subfolder of My Documents and enter there), and select your file. When you have the right file highlighted, tab over to the Attach button and then press enter. You can check that the attachment is included before sending by pressing shift+tab from the body of your message. ----- Original Message ----- >From: "Irene" <breeze.whitney@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "vip" <vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, June 07, 2009 12:14 PM Subject: [vip_students] Attachments Hi, I am Irene, mailing from Whitley Bay in North East England. This is the first time I have managed to pluck up the courage to ask for help as you all seem so much more clued up than me so please forgive me for what you probably think is a simple plea for help. I want to scan a photograph and send it as an attachment. This is what I do but it won't work so I am doing something wrong. I go to omnipage, scan the document and enter. I then say yes to save document and give it a name. I then quit and go to outlook express, select recipient, enter and do message. Next I do f10 i for insert, and enter on file attachment. I then type name of file and enter but I am told no such file exists. I hope you know what I am talking about and that you can help. Many thanks. Irene Maloney.
