Office 2007 does indeed work with Jaws 8, however for best results I'd
advise upgrading to a more recent version.

From Jaws 9 onwards, freedom scientific include a set of tutorials (in

Daisy and MP3 formats) which guide you through the features of office
2007. Much of the content may also be relevant to you.

Incidentally, you may have heard that the menu structure is very
different in Office 2007 from that used in older versions. This makes
the learning curve that bit steeper. For information, there are add-ins
out there which allow you to retain the classic menu layout, and
although I haven't used them myself, I believe they work well.
