Hi Sandy,

I may need to amend my last message, due to a confusion over the wording you used. If the device has no plug, i.e., no self power, then the computer must be on for the device to be getting any power or charge.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me, if one is charging a device using the usb
connection and the PC or Laptop, both of which are plugged into the
mains, do you need to leave the pc or laptop booted up in order to
charge the device?

   Thanks, Sandy.
