Ann, i recently bought my 7 inch fire tablet. How different is the new one?

Yes, I have the newest Fire 7 tablet on pre-order. Can't wait to get it on
June 7, I think.
My old tablet is working now! I had to get the tablet in to a special
recovery mode by holding down the Power and the Volume Down buttons while it
was booting, which was very tricky since Voice View isn't up and running and
I am totally blind. But once I was able to get the tablet in to that recovery
mode, I was able to connect it to my computer and sideload a copy of the OS,
and it works great now!
Thanks for all your advice. And I will say Amazon customer service was
terrific, too.

One last thing. Do you have a SD card installed? Might remove and see
what happens, if you do. There is a stated procedure to removing, so I
would follow that.
And, there is always installing by transfer the OS from your computer.
I imagine, the new file would overwrite the older.
Of course, this all might be caused by a hardware failure such as the
internal storage drive failing to completely load the OS. But, I'd try
other stuff, even doing another factory reset if necessary. Perhaps do
that while the Fire is on wall charge.
