Hi Joanie. Fun? Well, of course!
Try turning off your Fire and turning it back on again. Then swipe
through the screen and see if it is there. You might even want to tap
on that first thing on the screen after search called For You. It
shows the recent stuff. Finally, you might well have to go into your
Fire directory with ES File Explorer. If not installed on your Fire,
you'll find it in the Amazon app store. It's free. When you find the
app with ES File Explorer, a simple tap on the app will open and then
it will be on that home screen forever.
For sure, the app you just side-loaded will not show up in the app
shortcut on your Fire home screen. That is one thing about downloading
apps from an installation of the Google Play Store. They show up on
the home screen from jump.
