Hi William,
I just spent an hour with Amazon's tech support, and I do have to set the
Fire back to factory defaults. The person helping me could not delete apps,
or open them. So what has happened is that somehow the device has merged
apps. Audible and Amazon Kindle work, and right now I'm finishing a book.
So, yes, it is inevitable, I'll just have to do it. Setting all that up
again will be a pain. First things first though, have to finish my Audible
book.
Happy birthday!

Hi Joanie. What a great idea. Make that two glasses! I did that trick on my
birthday last week! So good! With deep dish pizza and a boatload of friends
no less!
Stay well ... William

Okay and this is the last resort because I found Android app
authentication, and I can't do it so that's what is wrong. I'll try
to have Alexa open the Bard app.
Thanks! I'm ready for a glass of Chardonnay, <grin>.
