Sandy, whenyou did the stairs again, did you have to desentize her or did
your dog just do them as if nothing had ever happened?

She did them as if nothing happened.. actually I didn't realize it until we
were on the train.. I was distracted and not really thinking about Alex..
Sometimes I think if we get too hung up on a problem and coax or do too much,
it
draws their attention to it and they pick up our nervousness, whereas, when
I just did it, I didn't telegraph anything too her and just expected her to
do it..

This is actually something I learned with my horse.. I wouldleave the barn
on a ride and I would get to this particular spot by a street crossing where
she had dumped me hard once and where she always seemed to act up and throw a
temper tantrum..and believe me her temper tantrums are NOT fun! One day, I
realized that I was tensing up.. When I made a conscious decision to relax my
legs and butt , she didn't throw nearly as much of a temper tantrum and as
time
went by she was fine with that spot.. It was MY problem all along.. A BIG
lesson learned that day!
