Gary,
Which custom ROM did you use on your S3?
Perhaps that is one I should stay away from if it was sluggish on that phone.

I don’t know which galaxy s3 you have. Also I don’t know your level of
expertise so I don’t know what to recommend to you. Most custom roms have an
overclock and underclockign feature in them. I don’t want to be to technical as
this can either be a good or bad thing depending on how much ram and how much
actuall performance a device has. I think that you have a dual core and that
device is not going to be that much improved . I would strongly recommend
looking at a newer device. Either look at a nexus 4 or 5 or a newer device. As
that device is going to be very slow if you decide to do it. I am just giving
you the honest ttruth about it. I did hav an old s3 and I found it kind of
sluggish when it came to a ccustom rom and what it could or not do. I would
strongly recommend if you decide to do custom rom doing it with a quad core
processor as its got more horsepower to handle the demands of a custom rom
depending on what you want to do with it. But if you want to do it , its up to
you with the s3 as I know that device is not going to be improved that much.
Maybe a bit more performance will come out of it but not that much that its
worth the trouble to go through.

Oops, I should have changed that subject line the first time.

Glenn

Gary,

I still haven’t installed a custom ROM onto my Galaxy S3 phones, and I am
interested in overclocking too.

Do you have some advice from a Blindness perspective?

Thanks.

Glenn

My primary device is an older nexus 4 with custom rooted apps as well its
overclocked 2 ghwith a custom kernal which improves the performance of the
device comparable to anything out there. Till I can find a device that I like.
