[va-richmond-general] Dutch Gap MAPS Station Opening Day: 20 May 2007

A great start for us at the Opening day of the Dutch Gap Banding Station in Chester. A very enthusiastic group of volunteers turned out before sunrise to open the 12 nets. The weather was perfect and the birds steady throughout the morning until closing time at 11:30 a.m.. Total number of birds netted: 31 which included 4 recaps or previously banded birds. Here is the tally:

Blackpoll Warbler (BLPW) 1 gorgeous female
Ovenbird (OVEN) 1

Swainson's Thrush (SWTH) 1
