This morning, only two of us tromped around Merrimac Farm on the monthly Prince
William Conservation alliance bird walk. The most exciting sighting was a
large Wild Turkey family playing around the Stone House. When we arrived, we
spooked them from the field behind the House, and when we returned from the
walk, the group was still there, with the off spring rough-housing like all
kids, in the grassy area near the Stone House. We also had a good, long look
at both a Prairie Warbler and a Yellow-throated Vireo.
