[Va-bird]

I don't know if this qualifies as unusual for the time of year, but on my way 
home from work today I espied a Little Blue Heron at the edge of a small 
backyard pond (~0.2 acres) on Gambrill Road between the Fairfax Co. Pkwy. and 
Pohick Rd, south of W. Springfield. In all the years I've daily passed by this 
pond, I've only ever seen the occasional Mallards.
