Hello all
Today about 30 members from the Augusta Bird Club took part in the Augusta
County CBC . The count circle was made into 8 sectors . At our tally dinner
tonight we had a total of 76 species seen . All counts are not in yet so
there maybe a bird or two that has not been added in . Big misses are
Bobwhite , several duck species , Killdeer , Wilson Snipe , Fox Sparrow,
Purple Finch ,& Short - eared Owl . In my sector we had a total of 56
species & our high lights were Tundra Swan , Am . Pipit , Rusty Blackbird
--- 130 + & Brewers Blackbird -- 5 Other high lights as a whole group we
had all 7 species of Woodpecker , 6 species of Hawks , 3 species of Owls
with 4 of them being Barn Owl , 8 species of Sparrow & 6 species of
Blackbirds . Once all data is in a complete list will follow .
