Council is co-sponsoring a forum on the New York Health Act, the New York
legislation that is Improved Medicare for All. Featured speakers are the bill

- Be aware of a COVID-19 Vaccine survey sent to your email and asking for
personal information in order to receive your prize. Do not click on the link,

VACCINATION INFORMATION
- NYS COVID-19 Vaccination Hotline 1-833-NYS-4-VAX (1-833-697-4829). Open 7
AM-10 PM every day for eligible New Yorkers to schedule a vaccination in one of
the state run vaccination sites.
- Vaccine Eligibility: groups include doctors, nurses and health care
workers, people age 65 and over, first responders, teachers, public transit
workers, grocery store workers and public safety workers. Beginning February
15, New Yorkers with certain comorbidities and underlying conditions are now
eligible to receive the vaccine.

Special Enrollment Period:
- Medicare General Enrollment Period for people who missed their Initial
Enrollment Period (IEP) and need to enroll in Medicare Part A or B. (coverage
starts July 1)
- Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period, for people in Medicare
Advantage plans who want to change their coverage. (change is effective on the
1st of the month following the month of enrollment.)
- Both Enrollment periods run January 1 - March 31.
