System Mechanic works to a degree and is in one sense a ripoff... it has three levels built in and you must pay for each level if you want the added features even tho when it is installed all 3 levels are installed but cripled until you pay your money to get another feature to work....just takes a new "key" to open the next level....had it and dumped it... can mess up way to easily... once again.... to uninstal a program go to the control panel and use the add.uninstall funticon there and it will usually uninstall the program with the least problems..... and you may find that in the program files directory there may be a folder left with the program name that you simply delete that folder.. the reason is that generally what is left is the uninstall instructions and they were being used to delete the program so now must be deleted manually.. simple to do... and no problems... and it works very effectiviely... and if you have easy clean, run it and any extraneous registry entries are removed.....if you want a programthat has about the same features that system mechnaic has simply go to Micorsoft and download Tweakui... its free and installs to the control panel and simply utilize it .. you would be suprised what it does and how well it works.... yes.. you may have heard that it is buggy, but the latest version is good to go all the way to win2k....have it on all 4 of my machines.... ..
