P4-1.6 120Gigs on 2 internal, 1 ext USB2 hard drive..512Mgs..ddr266
ram..Radeon 9000Pro...home built by Bruce, Inc.:)))) ..XP 39 seconds. WinME
about 3 blinks of an eye..Win 2003 Server about 37 secs...not counting dual
boot menu picks....New Linux Knoppix CD takes about 2 minutes...but I've
never had to reboot it yet.... Like Clarence says..if you don't have to
reboot, who cares??:))) Macs take forever and a DAY to boot..but if you
don't need to reboot every hour, what's the dif.:)))Make it stable, THEN
worry about speed.:))) Some day, I think there's a Mac in my future for
sure....especially if Apple goes on with it's plans for an OS X that boots
on Intel CPUs!!!

How long does it take for your computer to finish startup?
My W98, 366Celeron, 10GB, 128MB, system takes 2minutes 15seconds.
Lets here how long yours takes (don't cheat by disabling programs).
