Did you mean what the title says or what the email content said?
ie did you mean:
1) What did Commodore International/Commodore Business Machines/Commodore
Portable Typewriter Company do first?
or
2) WHat did Commodore do with computers first?
My understanding is that they made typewriters, then adding machines, then
calculators, then the KIM-1 and then PET series of computers, and others
following that. I have seen filing cabinets too, although whether they
made those or just had them branded and sold them I have no idea.
