It was sold out everywhere so I ordered it online at Costco.
They do seem to be going fast. My local Shopper’s Drug Mart had six on display
on Tuesday and were sold out by Thursday. That surprised me. I’m going to ask
to put up a flyer for the World of Commodore — maybe there are a lot more
interested people out there than I realized.
My only complaint is that it is a pain to remember what the various buttons
do on the joystick for each game.
Have you tried making (a) custom .cjm file(s)? I’m making them for all my games
so I don’t have to jump into the keyboard to hit space or Run/Stop etc. It
makes things a lot easier. I’ve settled on:
X:ntsc
J:2*:JU,JD,JL,JR,JF,JF,SP,RS,SP,CM,RE,DL,SP
The only changes I sometimes have to make are ntsc to pal or J:2 to J:1. I’m
using the same button functions on all games so I’ll develop a muscle memory.
I’ve made and tested 50 .cjm files so far and anyone that wants them (along
with the corresponding games) should bring a flash drive to the next TPUG
meeting.
P.S. I’ll go into more depth about the config files during my demo next
Thursday.
