I looked into this as well. Apparently there is a newer lcd monitor available
via Canada Computers which can handle the Amiga vga output. Have to look for
the make / model.

Subject: [torontocbm] Connecting my A500/A2000 to LCD (VGA connector) Monitor
I have been "surfing" for information on how to connect my A500/A2000 to an LCD
monitor.
While it would be nice to have one of the new Scan Doublers that are available,
they don't fall within my budget right now.
I have seen a few posting on using Amiga RGB to SCART cables and then SCART to
VGA.
I found the Amiga RGB to SCART cable on the AmigaKit Store website. It has a
Female Amiga RGB connector (with audio) on one end and a Male SCART on the
other.
So I am assuming all I would need to do is find a cable that has a Female SCART
connector on one end and regular VGA on the other end. Am I correct to assume
this would work?
I have searched a number of sites including ebay and amazon and haven't been
able to find a cable that has Female SCART to VGA. Does anyone know where I
might be able to purchase one?
Thanks for your help! :)
