If you are going to spend the money you might as well go with the above
individual where the system can be tested and the price can be negotiated .
As for value village, they are not a nonprofit organization instead they are a
regular business . Therfore even though they are getting the items donated they
are making pure profit for their pockets .

The Value Village at Bloor/Lansdowne in Toronto has a PET 4016 in their
showcase, with a datasette included. The sticker price is $499. Didn’t bother
trying to test it as I wasn’t prepared to drop that kind of cash on a “No
Returns” PET. But if anyone thinks that’s a good deal for a potentially working
PET, it’s still there! Guessing it might be there for awhile.
