There are a few MC-10s scattered about Kijiji at this time..

Hi,

I never tried the RF as it's the lowest quality connection. The Atari 800 has
composite video out on the side, which would give you a better picture. My
Atari 800 is packed away, but if I get a chance I can try it out. I actually
have TWO Atari 800's because the first was badly broken in transit. The
second one also cracked but only slightly. These old plastic cases seem to be
very brittle.

Neat, I wish I had an MC-10. They used to sell for $50 a few years ago but
seem to be more like $100 now on ebay. I'm also looking for a TRS-80 Model 1.

Placed an order for one of those monitors…
Hope I get mine soon too J did you try the RF input?
It would be nice to try it with my Atari 800 and ZX81 J
(and TRS-80-MC10)

Thanks again for the recommendation J

Amazingly, my second Sole monitor arrived today. Ordered on Apr 13th. 4 days!
wow.
If anyone has any additional questions about the monitor, scart cables, or
converters from last night's demo just ask.

Fast delivery! The Sole LCD monitor arrived today. I did a quick test and was
able to connect the VIC-20 (composite) and Amiga 500 (RGB) up to it via
scart. It really gives a nice picture. I'm ordering another unit ;-) Only 11
left, get em while they're hot!

I can bring this to the TPUG meeting this week if anyone is interested.

It's an 18.5" widescreen tv from for USD$50 and comes with a SCART input. For
those looking for an amiga monitor this should work nicely via scart. it also
has all the normal video inputs, like composite, component, hdmi and vga. The
only thing it needs is a stand. Oh, don't bother with the "best offer
option" as it will auto-decline anything below $48. With shipping and money
conversion it'll be about $120 CAD (plus import fees maybe).

I'll give a report on how it works when mine arrives ;-)

PS: Yes, I'm crazy...

Hi, I ended up finding a A520 on EBay for $15 so I thought that was not bad
until he charged me $33 shipping.
So yes I would still be interested in the write up. Hopefully it will stop me
from wasting anymore money.

value for the next newsletter?

Yes, I have tested my ntsc Amiga 1200 with a scart cable and it worked fine.
SCART wasn't really known here but the technology is pretty standard. The
SCART cable was just one giant all-in-one connector for composite, s-video,
and RGB analog, along with stereo audio. The Amiga and the old consoles use
RGB analog at 15kHz. Really, you don't need the SCART cable... you could just
solder an Amiga DB-23 cable directly to the SCART-to-HDMI adapter.

Hi Steve, can you give me a link to which SCART to HDMI adapter on eBay would
be the correct one to buy. Also would a scart cable work on a NTSC Amiga?

For about $40 you can get a SCART to HDMI adapter on ebay that works on the
Amiga, assuming you have a nice big HDMI-capable tv. That's gonna get you the

I have one on order to try. You will need an amiga to SCART cable (about $20)
or you could wire up your own cable if you have a db-23 connector.
This adapter also works on quite a number of old consoles like Dreamcast,
Genesis, playstation etc, and should even work for C128 (which I plan to test
as well) and MAYBE even the PET ;-)

Kipper2k has an rgb2svideo on his site and he is in Canada. 35 bucks.

You can also build one if you are handy with a soldering iron. :0)

Hi Frank, EBay is hit & miss. Either I miss a good deal or they want crazy
money. There must be someone in this group that has an extra they could part
with.
