The huge numbers showed up here about a week ago. A few days ago I setup my
camera on a tripod aimed at 1 Zinnia and there was a constant stream of
Skippers
with sometimes as many as 4 at a time on the same flower.

Sachems are #1 but there has been a surprisingly large number of Little
Glassywings. Clouded Skippers are #3 and Fiery Skippers are #4.

The Sachems can be found on just about anything. The Glassywings prefer the
Zinnias and Lantana. Fierys prefer the Lantana and the Cloudeds are mostly on
Petunias.

My yard is full of Sachems: They flutter up when I walk to the mailbox, the
males zoom around, fluttering their wings behind the females, they nectar on
anything and everything. It is amazing how they appear in such numbers...
