Ichneumon Wasp Trogus pennator
We waited and wondered why one of our Spicebush Chrysalides took two months
and still did not eclose. Instead, a red wasp crawled from a hole in the
side of the chrysalis. These red wasps patrol my flower garden all summer.
I thought they were just looking for prey to eat.
Does anyone recommend destroying the wasps? This is a banner year for them
in my garden.
