Chloe and Bill,
It looks like a Clouded Skipper to me. It seems too long and angular to be a
Little Glassywing, but it is hard to see any detail on the wings.

Skippers giveeveryone problems, so don’t feel bad. My guess is Little
Glassywing. There are several other species that closely resemble it, which
makes it confusing. It seems you can see a white area on the antenna, just
before the club, which is one characteristic of this species.

Hi all,
I'm an inexperienced butterflier that has a very difficult time with skippers -
I consider them the sandpipers of the butterfly world. I have a photo of one
that I need help identifying, and I've attached a link to my Flickr page

medium-sized, chocolate brown, white spots on the wings, pale zigzag on
underwing, fed on Morning Glories and perched on Moss Rose (pictured). I'm sure
it's something embarrassingly common, but expertise would be greatly
appreciated.
