Let's be fair though, if folks feel that they are missing out on the
Facebook activity, they should simply join the group on Facebook. I
understand that cross posting is important for the data archiving, but it
is not relevant for the social aspects, where Facebook is vastly superior.
If there is an obligation to post invitations to this group for birding
trips, I must have missed it in the rules. It hardly seems fair to guilt
trip anyone for posting in the forum of their choosing.

Very valid point Bill, we should have thought to share a post on TNBirds,
apologies to you and any others not on Facebook. Facebook is a great tool,
as of course is TNBirds. This was an oversight that hppefully won't happen
again. One small hiccup in the great age of technology we bird in now, is
the need to sometime post the same thing multiple locations to try and get
the word out, vs basically the single avenue we were accustomed to for a
long time, that being TNBirds or something along those lines.

Those of us who are not on the Facebook page had no opportunity to
know about or join in this adventure. This is EXACTLY what I was
talking about in my post on the disadvantages of Facebook as a sole
source for exchanging information.

CROSS POST!!!
