After spending the weekend between the Birchwood School and the Hiwassee
Refuge, I must say that I was very impressed with the cooperative
efforts put forth by all those involved in making the Crane Celebration
a great success. I am especially pleased with the group of volunteers
from Chattanooga TOS who spent their weekend answering questions about
birds and making sure that everyone got a good look at the cranes. And
I want to thank Ken Dubke again for all he does to promote the birds and
this event.
I'm already looking forward to the Celebration next year and will do
all I can to help make it the best yet. I am very interested in
hearing your ideas for speakers for 2006. If you have suggestions or
comments for TWRA about the Birchwood event, please call or write me.
I'll make sure that your comments get heard by the right people.
