Great Blue Heron: 7
Bufflehead: 2
Wood Duck: 5
Gadwall: 2
Canada Goose: 30+, 2 nests, each with sitting adult, one with 5 eggs
BLUE-WINGED TEAL: 1
WILD TURKEY: 1, First we have seen or heard of at the marsh.
This one flew west down the center of the gravel road, about 3 feet
above the road, went up slightly to clear the gate, came straight toward
us to within 30 ft, then veered south and up, landing in a willow tree
beside the water,- most unexpected and impressive behavior!
Virginia Rail: 2
Barn Swallow: 2
Tree Swallow: 2
Savannah Sparrow: 15 - 20 +
Vesper Sparrow: 1
