Birders,
A lovely afternoon was spent walking the Radnor Lake Trail today. There were
so many folks loving the park that it was almost necessary to have a ticket in
hand to enter the trail. All the usual birds were seen and heard. It seemed a
Yellow Rump was in every tree. On the lake were Bufflehead, Ring- neck Ducks,
Gadwall, Wood Ducks, Mallards, and a small raft of Hooded Merganzas. A Redtail
Hawk, Pileated Wood Pecker, Barred Owl and Canadas made their presence known.
There was also a Muskrat swimming near the trail.
Around lunchtime, a Broad-winged Hawk was soaring above Blockbusters on
Highway 70 in Bellevue.
