[TN-Bird] Perry County Spring Migration Count

  The third annual Perry County Spring Bird was held on May first, starting at
4:00 P.M. on May first, and ending on May 2nd at 4:00 P.M.
 15 birders showed up for the count, and tallied a total of 142 species. 
  The following were new to the count:
American Coot 3
Wilson's Snipe 3
Black-billed Cuckoo 2
Least Flycatcher 1
Horned Lark 1
Bank Swallow 3
Sedge Wren 2
Marsh Wren 4
House Wren 3
Golden-crowned Kinglet 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 5
  The following species were found in unusually high numbers:
Wood Duck 99
Bald Eagle 7
Osprey 4
Sora 4
Solitary Sandpiper 26
Great-horned Owl 5
Chuck-wills-widow 5
Purple Martin 152
Cliff Swallow 725
Wood Thrush 30
Veery 4
Gray Catbird 24
Northern Waterthrush 12 (equal to the number of Louisiana Waterthrush, which
was also 12.)
Blackburnian Warbler 5
Yellow Warbler 33
Prairie Warbler 79
Palm warbler 60
Savannah Sparrow 314
Lincoln's Sparrow 10
Swamp Sparrow 262
White Crowned Sparrow 97
White-throated Sparrow 118
Dickcissel 32
Bobolink 35
  The following species were found in relatively low numbers:
Green Heron 3
Cooper's Hawk 1
Eastern Screech-Owl 1
  And these are the missed ones:
American Kestrel, for the second year straight. 
Common Night-hawk
Philadelphia Vireo
Orange-crowned Warbler
Magnolia Warbler
Canada Warbler
 Most of the Shorebirds and water birds were also not found, but are not
considered misses because they normally can't be found. 
  27 Warbler species and 5 Vireo species is below average.
