Come join us this Saturday for a Field Trip to Bells Bend Park in western
Davidson Co:
Bells Bend is a premier location for sparrows, and by mid-October, weshould
encounter several species as they are either migrating through orreturning to
spend the winter. We’llalso search for any lingering neotropical migrants.
The morning will consist of a leisurely hike alongthe mowed paths as we start
at the Outdoor Center, then make a loop aroundseveral of the large overgrown
fields, and then back to the center. We will meet at 7:00am and we should be
doneby lunchtime. Please note that the grass can be quite wet from the morning
dew,so wear appropriate footwear.
