Saturday, August 28th, Shelby Park and Bottoms, Nashville, TN
Come join us for a morning walk around the park and bottoms in searchof early
fall migrants, including warblers, flycatchers, and sparrows. We will start
onMission Hill, and then work our way down to explore the overgrown fields
andwoods of Phase 1 of the bottoms. We’llthen make the short drive over to
Phase 3 (at the end of Welcome Lane) for awalk along the river. Since the
weatherin August can heat up quickly, we’ll plan on an early start to take
advantageof the cooler morning temperatures. Please meet at the parking lot on
Mission Hill (next to the communitycenter/dog park) at 6:30 am, and bring
plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen. The trip should last until mid-morning.
