15 DEC 08 Knoxville, TN Knox County We had just recovered from a long drive from the frozen north and what did we see near our window? A black-and-white warbler. An odd warbler and the only warbler known to hybridise with ceruleans. Evidently a specimen was collected. This one in our big elm overlooking the river in downtown Knoxville) was a first for us in the city. -- Ethan C.
