We had our first sighting of the Eastern Kingbird yesterday, April 13! It's nice to have our "Bee Betty" back! We also believe we had a LeConte's Sparrow on a fence...pretty classic look but it flew as we went back to verify... Still have White-crowned Sparrows (in rather large flocks of 30+ this morning compared to the usual 8 to 10 we have been seeing) and white-throated sparrows...singing their songg, both of them. Also had a Savannah Sparrow with an injured eye-almost looked like conjunctivitus...but it flew in a pretty strong way as it went across the field.
