This is very interesting. I recall when I first got my player I mentioned it seemed to be only charging as high as 93% and you told me at the time that was just an estimate but if it went below 90% to let you know. So far it hasn't gone below 90% and 93% is usually what I get with the player. I'll keep these facts in mind and try and reset the machine and charge via the computer. I think I'll wait now though until the battery is down to nothing again since I did just rechardge it via the wall charger recently. I'll let you know how it all goes. Thanks. I've become aware of this particular phenomenon when these MP3 players are charged using any sort of wall charger, not just the ones purchased from us. It appears that at some point, the battery charge level will drop significantly after the normal amount of charging. It doesn't mean that your charger or battery has died, it just appears that your battery is misbehaving. I've had a couple of customers return both the players and chargers, so I could check them out. I tested the players by connecting them to my computer and letting them charge for 3 hours, and I checked out the chargers by connecting my own player to them. In both instances, both players and chargers were fine and charged the players into the mid to high 90's percentage wise. Then, I ran down the battery on the returned players and used the returned chargers to charge them. In both cases, the players were charged successfully by the chargers. Here are my findings thus far: 1. It appears that if one is going to be regularly using a wall charger, one needs to do an initial complete charge cycle on the computer first before starting to use the wall charger. 2. It appears that if one has been charging the player with the wall charger, and it starts to show unimpressive battery charge levels, one has to charge the player on the computer to restore "freshness" to the battery. 3. After charging the player on the computer, it appears one can then resume using the wall charger as before. Of course, one should always make sure of the following: * that the outlet one is using is a working outlet * that the charger is plugged in securely * that the USB plug is well seated in the charger * that the USB plug is well seated in the player So, if you notice this particular phenomenon, reset the player and charge it on a computer for a full charge cycle before resuming using the charger.
