Yeah, he used to hang around here, used to be pretty good from memory
too....

I wonder what happened to him, he seems to have vanished off into the
ether.... He's obviously forgotten about us and doesn't care any more.

I'm not sure if you mean the language bar?

 

If so, Rick Mack (Anybody remember him?) used to say the following:

 

The easiest and safest (it won't come back) way to deal with the language
bar is to set a group policy to change the ACL on ctfmon.exe to remove
execute rights. That way if another hotfix or office component comes along
that re-enables the language bar, it still won't run.

i cannot seem to kill the language and settings bug from loading into the
systray on published apps.

Anyone got any good tricks for killing it?

any help greatly appreciated.
