It's a pretty simple process, Citrix has a Migration and Upgrade guide to help http://support.citrix.com/servlet/KbServlet/download/138-102-7740/Migrat ion_Upgrade_Guide.pdf Basically it involves getting the upgrade licenses and going through Add/Remove Programs to add the components. After a reboot, you change the product code and install the licenses. Your original CD already has the required components. As for upgrading to Presentation Server, I assme you mean the 3.0 that came out recently. If you have subscription Advantage, you can consider it, but it needs to be thoroughly tested in your environment. If you aren't on FR3 and have SA, I'd look at that first. Actually the upgrade doc wants the system that is upgraded from XPs to have FR2 at a minimum.=20 -----Original Message----- From: Matthew Shrewsbury [mailto:MShrewsbury@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]=20 Sent: Friday, June 04, 2004 1:18 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] XPS upgrade to XPA Hi Everyone, =20 I have two Citrix XPS servers and want to start load balancing. Therefore, an upgrade to XPA is required.=20 =20 Anyone have any tips on the upgrade process. Is there more required then just a license? Do I actually need to install XPA software? Should I upgrade to Presentation Server? =20 Thanks for your help, Matthew Shrewsbury=20 Network Administrator =20 ******************************************************** This Week's Sponsor - Tarantella Secure Global Desktop Tarantella Secure Global Desktop Terminal Server Edition Free Terminal Service Edition software with 2 years maintenance. http://www.tarantella.com/ttba ********************************************************** Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thin.net/links.cfm *********************************************************** For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thin.net/citrixlist.cfm ******************************************************** This Week's Sponsor - Tarantella Secure Global Desktop Tarantella Secure Global Desktop Terminal Server Edition Free Terminal Service Edition software with 2 years maintenance. http://www.tarantella.com/ttba ********************************************************** Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thin.net/links.cfm *********************************************************** For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thin.net/citrixlist.cfm
