We run 802.11b between manufacturing plants about 8 blocks apart. Currently one location has 18 users, all using citrix connecting to an switch which connects to the wireless. The only issue we have had was that the directional antenna was set to far back on the roof off the building causing drops in transmission due to reflection. Once we moved the antenna we have had only slight problems with wind knocking the Yagis off a little. -----Original Message----- From: Greg Reese [mailto:gareese@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, January 12, 2005 11:00 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Wireless Devices we run 802.11b with our nurses' tablets. About 15 devices per access point. One access point services each wing but they only need access in the hallway. Access in the room is not as good. We use cheap D-Link access points and they have been fine for a couple of years now. We have not had any problems with it. ICA has run just fine. To test our range we just mounted an access point and started walking down the halls to see how far we could get.
