CSG and Web Interface virtualize fine. We had issues with NLB so are using a
load balancing virtual appliance.

These type of servers should be great candidates for being a VM -
essentially it's a server that's running a web service.

NLB works - http://support.citrix.com/article/ctx108812 discusses setting up
for WI - but I was always under the impression NLB can be flaky with some
switches. Don't forget that the NLB has no awareness of the availability of
the backend service - if you need a highly available solution look at
getting netscalers in.

Subject: [THIN] Virtualising CSG and WI

Were looking to make our web interfaces and CSG's more resiliant, and were
thinking about virtualising them, preferrably with VMware ESX

Are there any issues with doing this that anyone know about ? ive found
plenty of articles about virtualising xenapp servers, but this doesnt seem
widely touched on.

Were looking to use w2k3 NLB as well with both WI and CSG, anyone aware of
any issue with doing that, assuming both are ok to Virtualise in the first
place ?

Thanks

Andy
