Although you don't say how many Citrix users and Timberline users you have on
each Citrix server, it's highly likely those PIII Citrix servers are slowing
everything down for the Timberline users. Reason: 75% of the CPU load for
Timberline is usually on the Citrix servers and 25% on the Timberline data
server.

Hi Guys

I've got a timberline running on Citrix query. My setup is.

Timberline BE server running version 9.2.1 on a w2K3 SP1 server ....Data files
are stored there to Dual XEON GB Nics
Timberline clients running on Citrix PS3.0 W2K3 Sp1. Dual P!!! 1Ghz GBNics

Everything is working okay apart from I feel the application performance is
slow. Launching modules and dialog screens / (forms)can take 6 - 10 seconds.

Any opinions as to whether I am expecting too much. The data is coming through
very quick. I have a gigabyte backbone. Dua

I am not a great fan of the product. Our software agent for Sage is quite poor
and we are on Basiccare Maintenance. so I only have access to the knowledgebase.

Appreciate any feedback as to how Timberline is running in your environments.

I am a local admin on the machne and I have trouble. We get the software from
our parent company. I am not sure what our support agreement is. I am sure
they have one but I don't have access to it.

We run Timberline. Try making the users a member of the "Power Users" group as
elevated privileges are required. If that works let me know and I can tell you
what keys and files need extra access. Also if you have support you can call
Timberline as they do support TS environment.

Does anyone have this running on their terminal servers? i have been asked to
get it running on a Win2k3, PS4 box. everything seems to be ok but when I
start it and log in, the login box goes away and nothing happens. I am just
back looking at a desktop. Filemon and Regmon both look clean. Nothing denied
or missing. the program just stops running. The error log is clean too. If
this app keeps its own log, i can't find it. I tried both as an admin and as a
regular user. I tried remotely and at the console. Same reuslts everywhere.

I can change my password so i must be hitting the db correctly. If anyone has
some hints on this one, they are much appreciated.

Thanks!

Greg
