Have you sent any bandwidth restrictions in the Managment Console settings
and/or Citrix policies?

Just as another bit of information, printing not through the citrix mapped
printers is instantaneous, the issue arises when using a mapped printer
through the Citrix client.

The job just sits there saying Spooling, even on a print job that's 100 KB
(two page output from Excel) and that's over the local LAN with gig to all
the servers and 100 meg to the workstations. Copying files from the
workstations to the print server, and from the citrix servers to the print
server is fast as well.

The Citrix servers get automatically rebooted at night time anyway, I will
check on the print server itself and on the citrix servers as well.

Stop and restart the spool service. When it's stopped look in the spool
directory for any potentially bad files and clear them out.

Anyone know where to start looking when the spooling of printing slows to a
crawl?

Print jobs that normally take 2 seconds to come out are taking 23 seconds to
come out. Physically, nothing has changed, we installed a printer yesterday,
but that change has been backed out. Network wise, it looks fine, the print
server isn't doing much, servers are having it relatively easy. Just
printing in particular has slowed down. The rest of the environment isn't
exactly behaving like it's semi snappy self either...

Any suggestions?

Berny
