Also, if you've got a solid door you may want to swap it for a
perforated one.

Checked with IBM and the range is 50 oF to 89 oF.  So I think we will
look at the fan option.

Do you have a closed cabinet, and if so, does it have a fan system?  
83 to 84 may be in the op range of the server, but the cooler the
better.  If not fan, install a cabinet fan (black box has them, or the
vendor you purchased your cabinet from) and don't plug it into the UPS.

Hello List, 
We have 5 IBM x335 servers running at a hosting facility.  We put a
temperature monitor in the cabinet because it was feeling to warm
whenever we were there.  The temp is holding steady at 83 oF to 84 oF.
This is in the upper portion of the cabinet.  The servers are about 3
feet below that. Is this acceptable? TIA Leon
