RE: [THIN] Citrix Metaframe XPa FR3 On Win2k Listener Ports Blue Screening
ServerOutstanding Jim,

It worked like a charm, delted them in the registry and used Term Service
Config to create new on all 3 servers.

I owe you a beer or 2.

Try using the built in Terminal Services Configuration utility to add this
listener port Shane. You should be able to delete the listeners from there
as well.

I had a similar problem a short while ago on a Compaq DL360 G2 system.
Citrix support had me remove the ICA listener from a server, and every-time
I attempted to add it back in via the Citrix Connection config utility the
server would blue screen right when I was at the point of selecting the
protocol for the new listener.

In my case I was performing this process remotely via an RDP connection.
But I had no issues in setting up the port with the Term Services Config
util.

PS - the original problem I was having with this particular server which
caused me to remove and recreate the ICA listener did eventually require a
complete re-install of MF to the server. Hope that's not the case for you.

Screening Server

      HI All,

I have been working on a project moving a client to Citrix. They have
3 DL380 Servers that I built with the Smart Start Disks, and Windows 2000
Server, Service Pack 3. the Servers are all Dual processors with 4 G of Ram
and Dual Mirrored Disks. I have Installed Project 98, Office 2k, and the
normal apps on the server. I put XPa FR3 on the Servers and RDP works fine.
I added Licences for MF tonight and tried to start configuring the clients
to connect. I received error messages about CTX server not responding, even
though the farm name was discovered easily. On investigation it appeared
that there was an ICA TCP listener port installed, but it had the Icon for
the Dial In Async Connections. Any attempt to select the port to view its
properties resulted in an error message that indicated that the information
for the listener port could not be read from the registry, using Citrix
Connection Configuration. Using Terminal Services Adminstration I am able to
open the properties of the listener port but not able to delete it. On one
of the Servers I deleted the listener port using the registry editior, but
any attempts to recreate it causes the server to blue screen with an
indication that it had difficulties reading part of the memory and that the
cpq???.sys driver was in error. i am not at work at the moment but when i
looked at the driver name it appeared to be the Compaq drivers that were
having the problems.

i attempted to reinstall the Smart Start drivers, but this was not
helpfull. Any attempt to recreate a listener port causes the blue screen.
My next thought is to uninstall MF and reinstall, to try to fix this issue.
if anyone has had this problem before or has any thoughts or hints they
would be very gratefully received.

      Thanks and Take care
