Or you can try this:
Stopping a service that doesn't want to stop:
Open=A0task manager and=A0look at the process id number (PID)=A0for the =
beremote.exe.
(or other service)
Select Start Run and type in drwtsn32 -p <PID>, then say ok to it. =20
I did not have to do the next step as the process was in a stopping =
state all
ready.
Then try to stop it again.=A0 It should stop.=A0=20
If not do the DR. Watson again and then=A0wait a moment to try to stop =
the
services one more time.
Failing this a reboot would still be necessary.

kill.exe from the resource kit.
example:
kill -f cristmascard.exe
kill -f 1234
-f is force.

Hello!
One our MFXP (Windows 2000) servers currently shows a load of 100%. =
It's =3D
one winword.exe process who eats up all processor resources, and =
this=3D20
process belongs to a user who isn't logged in anymore! The session id =
of =3D
this winword.exe process doesn't even show in the session list of CMC, =
=3D and=3D20
I'm not able to kill it (neither with task manager nor with =3D =
Sysinternal's=3D20
pskill) - there always appears an "Access denied" error.
How can a process without a session happen? Is there a possibility to =
=3D get=3D20
rid of this process (other than rebooting the server)?
