Some notes to Program Neighborhood Agent 8.0

A Part of my orginal question i could answer now myself:
Yes, the ver. 8.0 has multifarm support. And it works quite well.
I also like the whole "Work Space Control" thing in the new Metaframe
version a lot.
But for my users I would probably switch from PN to WI and not to PN-Agent.
WI with Passthrough enabled is probably the best method to give a normal
user daily access to a Farm.
Just my 0.02 $.

Yes, but can you configure it to access 2 or more farms at once ?
Does is requires local admin rights to install or update the client ?

I am investigating this as well. So far, nothing but good reviews and I
like it's ability to update itself, with a simple shutdown/restart of the
client. Pass-through works great, which is huge.

We are using the pn agent like this and the some of the flickering screen
issued were fixed with a hotfix. I can't remember which on but it is the
same one that fixes it for Terminal Emulation issues.

Hi list

For the rebuild of an existing farm we're planing to use the Agent instead
of the Full Client. Using the Web Interface to start apss is out of the
question.
We want to centralize the Client Configuration. (e.g. List of servers) Now 3
short question regarding this Client.

1) Is there a multifarm support, like in WI ? (would be great for migration
szenario)
2) I heard there once was a Problem with a flickering picture. Is that gone
?
3) Would you at least recommend the use of PN-Agent ?

Ciao, Daniel
