Hi Derek, Sadly we do not use Outlook as a POP mail client. We found out that the problem almost certainly comes from Outlook 98. We installed Office XP on our testserver and connected to the Exchange box with the same user, and you guessed it...no problems when exiting.(Also no mapisp32.exe running on the TS with this outlook version) Anyone any suggestions on Outlook 98? Sometimes it can take minutes to shutdown, but only when there is mail to be picked up. I assume, but have not verified, it is Outlook checking for Mail on the POP Server before shutting down. I checked WINS settings (NT4 Domain), these match with the Citrix boxes. Everything thats even looks like offline settings, has been disabled, so synch should be no prob. This problem affects ALL users with Outlook 98. I did some testing with a user and saw the following: The user logs off, sees nothing happening on his screen after that. On the Terminal Server, the Process mapisp32.exe remains active for about 25 seconds and then dissapears. The user then sees the "saving your settings screen" if the user didn't turn off his pc that is... Make sure your Citrix boxes and Exchange servers are using the same DNS/WINS servers, or at least registering with the appropriate ones depending on your topology. We have Exchange 5.5 with SP4. We tried to upgrade the memory of the Exchange server with 1 GB extra but this didn't help.
