Preaching to the choir Nick ;) Unfortunately I have no say in this matter. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Nick Smith Sent: Monday, February 20, 2006 11:47 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Outlook \ any problems with LARGE mailbox stores in Citrix? We keep a limit of 2GBs. That used to be what MS built into the .ost file size for Outlook 2000 (Though you can break that if you use unicode). There is no good reason for going above that size - either they aren't managing their emails well, or is they are genuinely getting huge files, they should be coming in through FTP. Archiving everything over a year old seems to be an acceptable solution once it's explained to them that they can easily access it. Nick Hi all, I have 3 power users who have unrestricted limits on their Exchange mailbox stores (Exchange 2000). Their mailbox stores (not personal folders--online mail stores) range from 1.7 GB to 4.5 GB (yes--GB) and they've reported sporadic problems running Outlook 2000 (SP3) on my Citrix XPe FR3 farm which runs on Win2k SP3. Anyone been down this road before? Any size limitations \ recommendations out there? --Brian
